Car Seat Safety

The service is free
Through the museum's partnership with the Department of Transportation's Safe Kids USA, a certified car seat technician will be at the museum to help parents install car seats in their cars. Last year over 20 families had their car seats installed at the museum.
Halloween Party

Have a howling good time at our annual Halloween Party!
Walk through our spooky haunted house, as well as hands-on activities for children including making 'slime' and decorating trick-or-treat bags. There will be lots of trick-or-treating and give-aways as well as Halloween safety tips for parents. This event is perfect for families with children ages 3 -12.

Children and teens are invited to solve a mystery at the museum. Using Crime Scene Investigation techniques and working through experiments in the 'lab' children will learn the clues to solve the crime. Activities include handwriting analysis, testing PH balance, invisible ink and more. This event is great for families with children ages 5-14.

Celebrate the Season at The New York City Police Museum!
A day of fun activities for families with children featuring crafts celebrating holidays from diverse cultures in New York, including Christmas, Chanukah, Eid, Kwanzaa, and more. Also, families learn about policing around the world and try on the Museum's collection of international Police Service uniforms.
